Lots of places will buy gold. Small jewelry shops will buy it and use it to repair other pieces for customers. Pawn shops are also an option. I sold my old (broken and single earrings, etc.) jewelry at a local pawn shop and they gave me, I think a reasonable price. Though there are places on the internet that claim to pay you “the highest price” . Someone else may know more how they work.
