Where Can I Sell My Gold?
I have some old gold laying around the house and want some extra cash for it, but I don’t want to send it in to some of the ones I see on TV because I hear there are a lot of them that scam people. Are there any safe ones out there?

Don’t send it in to Cash4gold, or goldkit, or goldpaq, or goldfellow, or any of those companies. I have been reading online and hear a bunch of stories about people getting scammed from all of the major ones. I found this new company that seems the most legitimate. It’s called freegoldscale. they send you a free scale, they have an online calculator so you know what your gold is worth, and they ship with FedEx and insure it. I sent my gold into them, and it was a great experience. They also paid more than those other companies. They actually show their prices unlike some other companies. The ones that do show their prices, freegoldscale paid more. It was a great experience. I recommend them.
Cash4Gold is the biggest company out of all of them… an Inc 500 company and so on… the trick to getting the maximum amount tho is calling them up when they send you your check and haggling with them. It’s possible to squeeze a few more bucks out of them.

You can also sell on ebay, but then you have to deal with shipping the product and returns if they change their mind. And of course, you can shop it around to jewelry places but I doubt in this economy they are buying that much.
Have you checked with any local jewelery stores? In NYC many jewelery stores do buy and sell gold.
