Best Place To Sell Old Jewelry?

Feb 15, 2010   //   by Admin   //   Selling Unwanted Jewelry  //  6 Comments

I have a lot of gold and gemstone jewelry that I no longer wear. Mostly from ex-boyfriends. Where is the best place to sell to get the most $$? Thanks!

  • Actually, with so much competition between wholesalers and retailers on Ebay, it is not the best venue if you are looking for the most $$$ from what you have. My suggestion, contact some private jewelry stores in your area ( not the chains like Zales or Sterling ), ask about consignment. Most stores that work in consignment usually take 25%-30%. This way, you can set your price of what you want to get out of it. Suggestion though, research your items first and see what the average price of what you have is.

  • pawn shop
    eBay
    craigslist.com

  • just go to sunday bazaar and sell it

  • You will get more money if you are able to sell them youself on ebay. This cuts out the middle man.. Your other options are to take them to a jewelry store that buys and sells estate jewelry (or a pawn shop). Some jewelers will give you the scrap value for your gold.. which isnt a lot.

  • looked into ebay? You can put a minimum amount that you will accept for the product. I am addicted to ebay and love the fair prices that are available
