2 Different Really Old Rings!?
Hi I have 2 kinda old rings, they are my great grandmas.
One is a sliver color with 6 different stones.. 1st is a saphire, 2ed looks like a white/pinkish stone? it changes with the light.. 3rd looks like a diamond. 4th looks like a ruby, 5 looks like a diamond, 6 looks like a paridot. On the inside i read that it says 10 KT
The other ring is gold, with 4 VERY bright diamonds lined up next to eachother. the writing on the inside is very tiny, but looks like it says Korea?
I was wondering if anyone would know anything about either of these because I have no clue, also about how much they would be worth. I dont plan on selling them or anything, I just wanna know if its a smart Idea to be wearing them around haha. But like i said they were my great grandmas, maybe even her moms, all i know about them is that they are quite old!
THANKS!!

I would imagine that it would be very very difficult for anybody to give you a value on these rings. For example – the sapphire – what quality is the sapphire, what is the carat weight of the sapphire. Since you probably don’t have certifications on any of these colored stones, it’s very hard to know much about them as you describe on in this query. Very bright diamonds – those could be worth something, but again, there is nothing to describe the weight, clarity and color – all factors which determine the value of these diamonds. 10K gold is the lowest carat weight in gold which means that there is 50% gold content and then 50% other alloys such as nickel copper and other metals. Your best bet is to go to an independent appraiser. He/She will give you a better idea of the value. You really won’t get a realistic value in this venue.
Good luck!
They probably aren’t worth much unless the stones are real. The gold one was probably made in Korea and that’s why it says Korea on it.
