High and Volatile Gold Prices Reduce Jewellery Demand in Saudi Arabia (Zawya)
16 March 2010 JEDDAH – Jewellery demand in Saudi Arabia during the fourth quarter of 2009 was dampened by the high and volatile gold price, the flow-on effects of the global economic downturn and low spending on advertising and promotion, according to a presentation by the Gold and Jewellery Committee (GJC) of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) at the chamber headquarters.
