Gold hits record US$1,065 (Straits Times)
LONDON – THE price of gold forged a record high beyond US$1,065 (S$1,487) an ounce here on Tuesday as the dollar sank against the euro. In late morning trade on the London Bullion Market, gold struck US$1,065.65 an ounce, the highest level ever recorded.
